October is mid Spring in Australia and Finchys Australia caught the last heritage steam train of the season from the historic outback railway town of Quorn in the Flinders Ranges.
In Spring 2020 while steam train spotting, they also captured other trains of the Pichi Richi Heritage Steam Railway on the original Ghan route and at Port Augusta.
The dedication and commitment of the huge group of Pichi Richi volunteers that maintain and keep these trains running is enormous.
The Pichi Richi Railway Preservation Society operates the Pichi Richi Railway as a working museum. They have restored and preserved a large collection of historic locomotives and goods and passenger vehicles, many to working order.
